Alice and Oskar Merz-Meyer establish the company on the ‘Blumenstrasse’ in St. Margrethen. Fabricating lathe parts and milling work for paid labor.

Company moves to the ‘Industriestrasse 8’, the first “MERZROLLER” is manufactured; the daily production is transported by bicycle to the neighborhood lacquer-man. The premises were enlarged three times. |
